Which global domain name is right for me?
The US, European and Asian markets (both consumers and businesses) are used to dealing with businesses online whose web site address ends in one of the international domain name extensions such as .com, .net or .info - they simply expect to find you at these addresses.
In many of these markets, .nz is not a well known web site address and your customers may search for you simply by typing in "www.yourname.com" which means if someone else has that web site address then you are losing business, possibily to your competitors!

Who can register global domain names?
Anyone is eligible to register names in the major International extensions such as .com, .net, .org, biz, .info - (so long as the name is available of course) .us has some additional eligibility requirements.
