All domain Name Holders have security information for accessing and making changes to their records.

The table below explains the different types of ID's, Passwords and UDAI's and what their functions are.

Id's Passwords and UDAI's
Type Format Use
UDAI (Unique Domain Authentication Identifier) 8 characters – alphanumeric and case sensitive Needed to change Registrar only*
NameHolder ID and Password 8 characters – alphanumeric and case sensitive Needed to gain access to your Domainz account
FTP Username and Password Username is your domain name. The password will be 6 to 10 alphanumeric characters Needed to upload web content if Domainz hosts your website
Email Username and Password Username is your email address. The password will be 6 to 10 alphanumeric characters Needed to access your email through either an email client or the Domainz Webmail interface

Note

  • Your UDAI is like a Bank Pin and should not be given to anyone lightly
  • Your UDAI is not always required to change your hosting provider
  • If you want to change your hosting provider contact Domainz to recover your Name holder ID and Password
